Mmm.... Butter Chicken me up!

Butter Chicken. Where do I begin... you take top spot out of all the curries out there (at least for me anyways)!! I mean I like variety, trying new things and all but when it comes to foods I love -- I'll order it every time. This is one of those times! I try butter chicken at almost all places that serve it and I always seem to keep going back to this one place. Funny story behind how I was recommended to go there: At my previous job, on the first day, a co-worker was listing out all the places that were nearby where I could grab lunch.... Japanese down the street, sandwich place around the corner, the list goes on, and oh! the Indian place where the shady hotel is... Obviously I had to try the Indian place where the shady hotel is!! Best decision EVERRRR! It's called Choice Fast Food. Trust me given the name and location I was a bit skeptical at first but food often -NO- always speaks for itself! :)  

This place is always packed during lunch.. there's always a wait and people getting take-out. Here's a picture of the store front I took today. You can't tell in the picture, but the line-up was to the door!

Lets talk food, they have 10 menu items (Butter Chicken, Chicken Tandoori, Lamb Curry.. just to name a few), some sides (Chicken or Veggie Samosas, Potato Patties), and drinks (Pop, Mango shake, Masala Chai tea). The great thing is that there is always a menu item on special depending on the day of the week. Wednesday is my favorite and you guessed it -- its BUTTER CHICKEN DAY!!! Normally its $8.49 and on special its $7.49. Not a huge difference but you can get yourself 2 veggie samosas or 2 potato patties for $1.50... so what I'm trying to say is you can get more food! hahaha... if you can manage to fit it all. I feel they are pretty generous with the amount of chicken and sauce they give you. All too often those food court places are WAY too stingy and I leave feeling unsatisfied or hungry! :( 

This place is a no frills kind of a place. You order at the cashier and take your own seat and get your own water. They bring you your order and that's that. Just wanted to get that in there although I'm sure you can tell it's not fancy from what I've already said about it. haha...

Butter Chicken is creamy and has very good flavour!! I often find myself running out of rice/naan to polish off all the sauce. I make sure I take extra sauce with whatever is remaining. Its an art! :)

Needless to say we left with smiling faces and happy stomachs! :)

ps. I have tried the Chicken Tandoori ... i don't recommend it because it's a little dry for my taste.. hahaha...
